Chicken Sh*t

I'm part of the call center population who commutes everyday and since I live in a 3rd world country where prices of gas is sky high, bringing a car to work is out of the question.

Here in the Philippines, air conditioned buses also has the "luxury" of having videos on board and earlier when I was on my way to work.. the movie playing on the bus that I boarded is this:

 

I haven't watched this movie but I have seen parts of it, you might be wondering why...well here's my answer: THIS MOVIE SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME and I'm afraid that if I watch it from start to end that I will believe it. I've seen the NatGeo special about the 2012 solar flair thing and if it's on NatGeo then IT IS true.

Even though I don't believe that the world will end this way, it's still a scary thought that our time is already ending. 

So to my customers out there, it's time to get a brain sir and madam... you'll only have one more year to use it.. Bwahahahahaha *evil laugh*

Call Avoidance

 

The comic above is a True Story.  I kid you not.

This is a typical day in a call center, konti pa nga yang 150 calls! Would you believe that calls can queue up to 500 waiting? That usually happens to a global call center... take the Dell account for example or any global customer services desk. 

And imagine how much saliva those call center agents spits out on their headsets while answering all those calls... disgusting right?!?! Eeeeeww... the horror! *chills on my spine*

Anyway, what happened in the comic DOES NOT happen often in every call center. That agent who did that may have gotten away with it at that time, but I assure you if he did it again, he would have lost that job. 

But he's my hero for getting away with it. Oh I miss that bastard! 

He could have been caught by that Workforce manager, by his manager, his teammates(but I'm sure they would have knelt before him and worshiped him), or anyone from the management team.

Call Avoidance in a call center is a big Sin, a huge crime, punishable by DEATH... hahaha I kid, I kid. By death I mean termination of your job.

So if you're in a call center and there's like 1 million calls waiting... just breathe in and breathe out... release some calls but be discreet.. Okey? Hehehehe. 

Just relax and you should be able to answer most of them... don't worry too much, you have your teammates to help you.

And again, be discreet my brotha!

Christmas Bonus is coming,,,

The Ber months are here again. And that could only mean 1 thing and 1 thing alone to us call center agents.... CHRISTMAS BONUS!

Here in the Philippines we call it 13th month pay kasi katumbas daw yan ng isang buwan mong sweldo sa trabaho, which could be pro rated if in case di ka nakabuo ng isang taon.

Only regular agents could get that bonus and if you're in a contractual base agent then sorry to say but you won't get this.

And how do we spend all this moola you ask? Well most of the call center agents here spend it on Gadgets, Vacations, Beer, and most of them... to their family.

And sad to say, even though some of us will get a lump sum of money... a lot of us will be spending Noche Buena and Christmas in the office... total BS!


Well di naman kasi importante sa ibang bansa ang Noche Buena, kaya kung call center agent ka.. magtiis ka.


Ngunit dahil pumatak ng sabado ang December 24 ngayong taon at mapalad ako na ang office namin ay regular working days lang ang pasok...

I don't have to go to work on Noche Buena and Christmas!!! Woohoo!


So to us call center agents here in the P.I... itaas mo ang iyong headset at babaan ang customer! hahaha... Joke lang. Advance Merry Bonus to you tol!

Well, well, well.

The lazy, procrastinating, angry, tired, sleepless, restless, sarcastic call center agent is back!

After much.. much... much arguing with myself of whether or not I should continue this blog or not, I've decided to follow that Toguro in me instead of Eugene.

That much needed outlet for my rants and my ever so wonderful call center experiences (if you didn't read that in a sarcastic manner.. read it again) is back with a vengeance.. bwahahaha.

So brace yourselves (my two or three readers) for raging hormones and regla-inspired posts!
